We get it — sometimes circumstances change and you need a refund. Here's exactly how it works, depending on where you purchased.
The key rule: subscription refunds are available within 7 days of the charge. After 7 days, CandyJar can't refund active, functioning subscriptions — but you can turn off auto-renewal at any time and keep access until the end of your billing period.
First: where did you purchase?
The refund route depends on your payment platform, not your phone. (You can be on an iPhone and still have purchased through our website.)
Apple App Store
Apple handles all billing and refunds for App Store purchases directly — we're unable to process these on our end. Request a refund from Apple here. Whether the refund is approved is Apple's decision. To cancel your subscription, follow Apple's cancellation guide — once cancelled, your subscription page shows an expiration date instead of a renewal date.
Google Play
- To cancel: open the Google Play Store app → tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → select CandyJar → Cancel subscription. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- To request a refund: go to play.google.com → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & order history → find the charge → Report a problem → choose your reason and submit. Google usually responds within a day.
- Prefer we handle it? Contact support and we can cancel or refund a Google Play subscription from our side.
Website
Purchases made on candyjar.com are handled by our team directly. Contact support within 7 days of the charge and we'll take care of it.
Roku
Roku subscriptions are refundable. The fastest route is requesting the refund directly from Roku support. Alternatively, send us your Roku receipt (including the invoice number) and we'll process it. To stop future charges, turn off auto-renew at my.roku.com/subscriptions.
Coin purchases
All Coin purchases are non-refundable, as outlined in our Terms and Conditions. If you bought Coins through the Apple App Store or Google Play, you're welcome to ask Apple or Google for a refund directly — but that decision is entirely theirs and is separate from CandyJar.
Good to know
- Approved refunds can take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or card issuer.
- If you've opened a dispute or chargeback with your bank, we can't process refunds or make subscription changes until it's resolved on the bank's end.
