How do I qualify?
Tap the student offer banner in the app or on candyjar.com, then either create a new account with your student email or sign in with Google/Apple using your student email. You'll get a verification email — tap the link in it to confirm your student status and continue to checkout.
Tip: sign up with your actual student email. If you use "Sign in with Apple" with Hide My Email, we can't recognize you as a student and the discount won't apply.
I already have an account with a personal email — can I add my student email?
No — the student price requires signing up through the student offer specifically, with a new account. Watch history and Coins don't carry over.
I have a student email but signed up the regular way — can I still get it?
No, only accounts created through the student offer qualify, even if your email is a student email.
How long does the student price last?
Up to 4 years in total (four yearly periods), as long as you remain a student. After that, your subscription renews at the regular price.
I already subscribe — can I switch to it?
There isn't a self-serve way to switch from an existing plan to the student plan right now. Reach out to our support team and let us know — we'll look into your case, though we can't guarantee a switch is possible.
